Origin and Disclaimer for Prescription Glasses:
The prescription lens version of our glasses has been upgraded with a redesigned accessory. Instead of the previous external-mounted design, we now use an embedded accessory system. This innovation reduces the frame's thickness and weight, providing a more comfortable wearing experience. While initially introduced to meet specific customer requests, this new design ensures a better balance of functionality and comfort for those who require prescription lenses. (Custom Edition)
Materials Needed:
Rounded Polarized Sunglasses with Adjustable ND Filter
Prescription lenses (can be obtained from your local optician, or we can provide them, based on the items you ordered)
Adapter ring (included and shipped with ZYRA™ sunglasses)
Microfiber cloth (for cleaning the lenses and sunglasses)
Below are the installation instructions for the With Expandable Prescription Lens Attachments:
Get Custom Prescription Lenses
Visit a local eyewear store or clinic to customize prescription lenses with a suitable width. We recommend a 1.67 refractive index for thinner lenses.
The width of the accessory that accommodates prescription lenses is approximately 43mm.
Check for Lens Adapter Ring Compatibility
Confirm that the ring is compatible with prescription lenses of the required thickness (e.g., 2.4mm or thinner).
The adapter should be able to accommodate lenses between -100 and -400 degrees of prescription, Unfortunately, lenses for astigmatism cannot be used.
Prepare the Sunglasses
Clean the frame and lens area with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and ensure a smooth installation process.
Align the Prescription Lenses with the Adapter Ring
Position the prescription lens carefully within the adapter ring. Make sure it fits snugly into the ring's frame without forcing it.
If needed, add a slight extra degree (e.g., +25 degrees) to the prescription to account for the sunglasses’ thickness.
Insert the Prescription
Gently snap the adapter ring (with the prescription lens) into the designated lens area of the sunglasses.
Ensure that the lens sits securely and is flush with the sunglasses' frame. If there’s no adapter ring, directly insert the lenses into the frame by gently pressing them into place.
Test the Fit
Once the lens is installed, ensure that the sunglasses’ adjustable ND filter mechanism still operates smoothly. There should be no obstruction or misalignment.
AdjustmentsIf the lenses do not sit perfectly or the filter
mechanism becomes obstructed, remove the lenses carefully and realign them. Ensure the lenses are properly cut and adjusted for the sunglasses.
